BOURNES GREEN INFANTS SCHOOL
COMMUNITY GARDEN

The Community Garden Team comprises of parents, grandparents and members of the Thorpe Bay U3A.
We interact with the children at the school, growing vegetables, flowers and fauna introducing them to the process of horticulture and its value in our world.

The purpose is to improve their understanding of where food comes from and how we must protect our environment and the natural world to keep the process going.

We meet every Wednesday between 10.00am and 12.00 in the school garden. (Some come earlier at 09.00am)

A weekly Newsletter is circulated setting out the tasks to be done each Wednesday.

We have many golden magical moments with the children and wonderful rewarding time is guaranteed!

Whether you are a novice or expert gardener does not matter as we all learn from each other. Everyone is most welcome to join us. You will not regret it!

You will need to have CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) Clearance.
